Artist Statement.
Mi trabajo cuestiona la naturaleza de la imagen (no siempre visible) y el lugar del observador en diversos ámbitos y desde diversas formalizaciones.
Considero importante la experiencia estética, entendida como máquina generadora de contenido y de pensamiento.
Trato de crear un lenguaje estético... Para ello, en mi trabajo, es importante alcanzar una cierta belleza formal, entendiendo la belleza como la ausencia de límites. A pesar de esta búsqueda formal no le doy demasiada importancia a la perfección técnica.
Me interesan las encrucijadas; en su sentido metafórico y también lo sublime junto a la inquietud, al desasosiego y a la pérdida. Entendiendo lo sublime como la inquietud existente en la ausencia de límites. A su vez me interesa la experiencia directa como intensificadora del presente, lejos del dominio de la razón y del conocimiento, rozando lo absurdo. Una manera de reconstruir visualmente la experiencia. Considero la experiencia espacio-obra-espectador una cuestión esencial de mi práctica.
Pienso que el arte ha de generar preguntas. Como explica la Física Cuántica acerca de la percepción y la realidad, por el mero hecho de observar algo, ya lo estás modificando; cada uno con su experiencia perceptiva está creando su realidad. De este modo, la obra exhibida está irremediablemente destinada a ser completada por el espectador. Trato de recalcar este hecho. Trato que la obra suscite tanto una lectura como una experiencia real con ella, ya sea física o mental. Como espectadora disfruto con los devaneos que me provoca el juego poético, la alternativa visual y el misterio de las obras que admiro.
My work asks the nature of the image (not always visible) and the observer´s position in various fields and from differents formalizations.
I consider important the aesthetic experience, I understand it as generating thought machine.
I try to create an aesthetic language ... For that, in my work, it is important to reach a certain formal beauty, the beauty understands as the absence of limits. Despite this formal search I don´t give too much importance to technical perfection. I am interested in the crossroads; in its metaphorical sense and I am interested in the sublime along the anxiety, the restlessness and the bereavement. Understanding the sublime like the current discomfort in the absence of limits. At the same time I am interested in the direct experience as on the increase of the present. A way to reconstruct the visually experience. The experience like a space-work-viewer an essential question of my practice.
I think art is to generate questions like the quantum physics explain about the perception and the reality, when we observe something, we're modifying it; each person with his perceptual experience is creating his reality. Therefor, the art work is destined to be completed by the viewer.
